Gift Card Terms & Policies

Applies to: Eighty-8 Digital Gift Card with Local Love / Friends of House, Group / Events / Party Cards, and any other gift card products offered by Eighty-8 Nail Studio

1.1 General Use

- All gift cards issued by Eighty-8 Nail Studio  (“we”, “us”, “our”) are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash, in part or in full, under any circumstances, except where required by law.

- Gift cards are valid only for services and/or products as specified on the card type and cannot be used to purchase further gift cards.

- Gift cards must be presented (digitally or as an approved paper/soft copy) at the time of payment. If the card cannot be presented, redemption may be refused.

- All gift cards are for personal use only and may not be resold, transferred for value, auctioned, or used for commercial promotions without our written consent.

Unless otherwise stated, gift cards are valid for 5 years from the date of purchase. Once expired, any remaining balance will be forfeited and cannot be extended, reinstated, or refunded.

1.2 Card Types & Location Rules

- Local Love Card is valid only at the specific branch stated on the card and cannot be used at other locations. You can find the locations here

- Friends of House Privilege Cards are available exclusively to pre-approved partner companies and their eligible employees/clients. We reserve the right to verify eligibility and decline redemption if terms are not met. You can find the partners list in here

- Group / Events & Party Cards may require a minimum number of guests and/or minimum spend as stated at the time of purchase. These cards are valid across all locations but may be subject to availability for group bookings. Unless otherwise specified, all other gift cards… are valid across all participating locations.

1.3 Bookings & Cancellations

- All gift card redemptions are by pre-booking only via this link. Walk-ins are not guaranteed and may be refused if no availability.

- Bookings made with a gift card are subject to our standard booking and cancellation policy.

- If you cancel or reschedule outside the allowed notice period, part or all of your gift card value may be deducted as a late cancellation/no-show fee.

- If you arrive late, your treatment time may be reduced to avoid impacting the next guest.

- Advanced booking via this link is required for:

- Friends of House Privilege Cards

- Group / Events & Party Cards

- Late-night bookings (e.g. up to 9pm), where available

1.4 Value, Balance & Expiry

- The value loaded onto the card at purchase (plus any promotional bonus, where applicable) constitutes the card’s total credit. 

- Promotional or bonus value (e.g. “Pay £100, get £110”) may have different validity dates or usage conditions from the base value. These will be communicated at purchase and stated where possible.

- Gift cards may be used in multiple transactions until the balance reaches zero or the card expires, whichever comes first.

- We reserve the right to set minimum or maximum load amounts for flexible-value cards (e.g. £30–£300).

- Once a gift card has expired, any remaining balance is void and cannot be used, extended, or refunded.

1.5 Lost, Stolen or Misused Cards

- Treat your gift card like cash value. If your digital or paper gift card is lost, stolen, damaged, or used without your permission, please contact us as soon as possible. contact here

- We may, at our discretion, reissue a replacement card if we can verify:

+ Proof of purchase

+ Remaining balance

+ Identity of the purchaser or recipient

- We are under no obligation to replace lost or stolen cards and accept no liability for any loss arising from misuse.

- We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or suspend any gift card that we suspect has been obtained or used fraudulently, unlawfully, or in breach of these terms.

1.6 Restrictions & Combinations

- Gift cards cannot be used:

- To purchase other gift cards

In conjunction with other discount codes, loyalty discounts, promotional vouchers, or special offers, unless explicitly stated

Only one gift card may be used per person, per visit, unless otherwise agreed in advance.

Some treatments, packages, or products may be excluded from gift card use. These will be communicated at the time of booking or purchase.

1.7 Format: Digital & Paper

All gift cards are issued as digital cards by default (email, QR code, or digital wallet).

Physical plastic cards are not available. Paper “soft cards” or printed versions may be provided in store on request, as a visual presentation only. The digital code remains the primary proof of value.

You may exchange your digital code for an in-store printed soft card, but this does not change the expiry date, value, or terms of the card.

1.8 Data & Privacy

- By purchasing or redeeming a gift card, you consent to us processing your personal data (name, email, phone, booking history) for:

+ Fulfilling your purchase and managing your bookings

+ Preventing fraud and misuse

+ Sending essential service communications (e.g. booking confirmations, expiry reminders)

+ With your explicit consent, we may also use your data to send marketing communications about:

- New treatments, products, and events

- Special offers and loyalty programmes

- Partner campaigns (e.g. EMOI, LoyaltiA, Friends of House, etc.)

You can withdraw marketing consent at any time via unsubscribe links or by contacting us. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

1.9 Changes & Legal

We reserve the right to amend these terms & conditions at any time. The version in force at the time of purchase will generally apply, except where changes are required by law.

All gift card purchases and redemptions are subject to the laws and jurisdiction of United Kingdom.

2. Gift Card FAQ / Q&A

General Questions

Q: Can I get a refund on my gift card?

A: No. All gift card purchases are final and non-refundable. They also can’t be exchanged for cash.

Q: What happens when my gift card expires?

A: Once a card has expired, any remaining balance is lost and can’t be extended or reinstated. Please check your expiry date and book in advance.

Q: Can I combine my gift card with other offers or discounts?

A: No. Gift cards can’t be used together with other promotions, discount codes, loyalty rewards, or special offers, unless we clearly say otherwise for a specific campaign.

Q: Do I need to book in advance to use my gift card?

A: Yes. All gift cards are for pre-booked appointments only. Walk-ins are not guaranteed and may be refused if we’re fully booked.

Format & Practical Use

Q: Do you offer physical gift cards?

A: We issue digital gift cards only (by email or QR code). If you’d like something to present as a gift, we can print a soft paper version in store, but the digital code is what holds the value.

Q: I’ve lost my digital gift card – what can I do?

A: Please contact us with your name, email, and (if possible) proof of purchase. If we can locate your card and confirm the remaining balance, we may be able to reissue it. We can’t guarantee replacement and are not liable for any misuse before you notify us.

Q: Can someone else use my gift card?

A: Our gift cards are designed for use by one person per card. In some cases (like group or partner cards), specific sharing rules may apply, but generally we do not allow resale or transfer for value.

Card Type Specific

Q: Where can I use my Local Love / Digital Gift Card?

A: Local Love cards are tied to a single branch – the one printed on your card. They can’t be used at other locations.

Q: Where can I use Free-Style / Free Reign / Pick cards?

A: These are usually valid across all participating locations, unless stated otherwise at purchase.

Q: Who can buy or use a Friends of House  Card?

A: Friends of House is reserved for our approved partner companies and their teams/clients. If your company is on our partner list, you may be eligible. Advanced booking is required, and walk-ins are not accepted for this card type.

Q: How does the “Pay £100, get £110/£120” bonus work?

A: For eligible cards, we add a bonus value on top of your purchase amount. For example, pay £100 and your card will hold £110/£120 total credit. Bonus value may have its own validity period and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Q: How do Group / Events & Party Cards work?

A: Our group cards are designed for celebrations and events. They usually start at £1,000 for a minimum of 10 people, can be used across locations, and have a long expiry (e.g. up to 5 years). Advanced booking is essential, and themed celebration options may be available.

Data & Privacy

Q: What do you do with my data when I buy or use a gift card?

A: We use your data to: Issue your gift card - Manage your bookings - Protect against fraud and misuse
